As a regular visitor to Udaipur, I was delighted to ‘discover’ this little gem and find another well priced mid-range Haveli for fellow travellers. The young management team bring a high level of energy and service not associated with all of Udaipur’s Havelis. As well as the spacious well renovated rooms, you have a delightful swimming pool and surely one of the best open air restaurants in the city. We were lucky enough to film the staff preparing a romantic meal for two lucky guests at the gorgeous Badi Mahal. Great location, warm and friendly team. Just book it!
The oldest parts of the current Amet Haveli were built back in the 1730’s during the rule of the Maharana Jagat Singh. He was also the builder of the Taj Lake Palace and in the perfectly proportioned ‘Badi Mahal’, you can see the same beauty and elegance at work. There are a total of 20 antique styled rooms, with large ensuite bathrooms and views across the lake. Our Ambrai open air restaurant has one of the best views of the Taj Mahal and is often fully booked.
