Although in some ways you are spoilt for choice when it comes to booking a Haveli in Udaipur, it is certain characteristics of each property which creates the magic and convinces you to stay; or as we have done, come back time and again to our favourite ‘little place’ on the Lake! Is it the laid back traveller ambiance of Jagat Niwas? the fruit bats at dusk? or the wonderfully quaint and authentic small rooms which transport you to a different age which keeps pulling us back?

ABOUT HOTEL
A 17th century Udaipur Mansion or Haveli, with a unique location off the warren of streets in Old Udaipur and a charm that is nearly unmatched. With the City Palace as its neighbour and a truly spectacular view of the Taj Lake Palace from the rooftop restaurant; its hard not to fall in love with this hotel. You are right in the heart of the old city here, but when the heat gets too hot and the haggling a little too intense, you can always come back to the sanctuary of Jagat Niwas Palace.
